1st of all let me say they found my daughters friend. Thank the Lord she is fine. She decided to take a road trip and hang out with some friends and not tell anybody. I guess it is a best case scenario in the fact that she is home safe and sound.
Valentine's Day? What can I say. I am not really into the whole commercialism of it all. Here is a day to shower your loved ones with flowers that at any other time of year would cost half as much and spend twice as much on a romantic dinner in an overcrowded restaurant. Its not really my thing. Randy and I don't usually do any of that. Sometimes we get each other cards but aside from that its just another day.
So the 1st week of school went well in spite of being incredibly sick and it snowing here on Friday. I made to all three of my classes and I think I am going to enjoy the semester. I will be glad when the 1st couple of weeks have passed and it will be easier to find a parking space.
I am still trying to figure out why text books are so expensive. I went to buy my books and by the time I walked out of the book store I had spent over $200 and I only bought two books. Crazy!!!
Well I am off to write a paper. Wish me luck :-)
