Where do I begin?

My daughters friend is missing.

How exactly does something like this happen?

I came home home from class early and was getting ready for bed when there was a knock at the door. The girls uncle and father were wanting to talk to my daughter Amber who was already asleep. When we realized what the issue was we woke Amber up and she gave them some phone numbers of some mutual friends. My heart goes out to this family. The girl apparently ditched school today and has not been heard from since. My prayers are with them that they find her safe and unharmed.

The disappearance of a child is a parents worst nightmare. I remember when Amber was about three, we were in Ross and she was there once second and the next she was just gone. I kept calling her name and she didn't answer. I was frantic. I told the security guards and made them lock the doors. I was not going to lose my daughter. Suddenly I heard her giggling. She was hiding and thought it was funny. It is not funny. Not then and not now. I wanted my first blog to be a little more cheerful but I am writing what is on my mind.
